The Constitution is the soul of Indian Democracy and the main pillar of the Indian Democratic System. We as Indian celebrate our Republic Day on 26th of January every year. On 26th January 1950, our Constitution came into effect by replacing the Indian Government Act 1935. Indian Constitution Assembly adopted the Constitution on 26th January 1949. 26th January 1950 Our constitution came into effect with the Democratic Government System.

Dr. Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar is the father of the Indian constitution. He was the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian constitution. The constitution is the supreme law of India. The constitution provides the basic and most important right of the Indian people. The constitution consists of fundamental rights, directive principles and moral duties for citizens as the citizens of the Nation(India).

Overview of Republic Day
India got independence from British Monarchy on 15th August 1947 by the sacrifices of various prominent freedom fighters. Through the Indian independence Act 1947, India achieved freedom.
Indian independence act 1947, an act of the Parliamentary Act of the United Kingdom which divided British India into two new independent Dominions of the British Commonwealth. Though India got independence on 15th august 1947, the Indian government did not have a permanent constitution. They followed the laws of the modified British Government Act of India 1935. On 29 August 1947, a resolution came into existence that made the drafting committee which was appointed to make the permanent Indian constitutions.
Grand Celebration on Republic Day
Republic day grade parades took place in Rajpath(Delhi) with great pomp and enthusiasm. The parade is presided over by The President of India and these parades are organized by the Ministry of Defence which come under the Government of India. The parade is the highlight of the day. Our extremely talented officers from our prestigious commands of Navy, Army, Air Force, Police, and Paramilitary Force organized magnificent parades. All states and union territories of India show their cultural heritage by presenting beautiful cultural programs. India is a multicultural land, each state and U/T contains magnificent importance. The president of India hosted the National Flag at India Gate New Delhi. Republic day is celebrated in the entire state of India with great pride and honour. Delhi is the capital of India yet witnessed the grand celebration. Many honourable guests were invited from various countries on the day of Republic Day. But unfortunately, because of the new corona strain, the UK Prime Minister cancelled his visit to India for republic day. He was the guest of honour for republic day celebration.
Today we are celebrating our freedom and republic day just because of the sacrifices of our honourable Freedom Fighters. We as Indians should be thankful to them, they are the only reason that we are free from the British Monarchy. We tribute and give our respect to all the freedom fighters.
